Carrollton-based Taylor Lightning Protection is sending another $500 to Kilgore Police Department after employees mistakenly absconded with the Kilgore Rooster Wednesday.
Matching an initial donation by Gabriel/Jourdan Buick GMC’s Tim Capps, TLP President Brody Macfarlane said “We would like to extend our appreciation to KPD and offer an apology to the citizens of Kilgore, for being involved in the unfortunate kidnapping of your beloved Rooster. This was based on an act of love for the animal, without having the knowledge of this local celebrity, and the overwhelming support of his community.
“We are happy to announce that Taylor Lightning Protection is a proud supporter of August 14, Kilgore Rooster Day in the City of Kilgore!”
